Carla DeLaTorre

As a certified spin instructor, Carla DeLaTorre’s fitness philosophy is to have fun with her clients while increasing their endurance, muscle tone, and self-image. Born and raised in a San Antonio, TX, Carla started her fitness career as a step instructor and continues to balance exercise and family into her daily routine. Carla joined the Studio Physique team in 2008.
Thomas Hancock

Thomas Hancock was born and raised in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York. He began his amateur boxing career at age 14. He competed in the Empire State Games and New York Daily New Golden Gloves. He turned pro in 1988. In 1995, Tommy started training other professional fighters in Las Vegas, Nevada and currently trains the King of the Cage Middleweight Champion, Keith KO Kid Berry. He joined Studio Physique team in 2006 and recently stated, “It’s fun to be around world-class athletes. Their work ethic is second to none.” Everyone is welcome, including men, women and children to participate in his boxing program which is an introduction to the world of self defense. Tommy has worked with some unique fighters such as Evander Holyfield, Riddick Bowe, Lennox Lewis, Buddy McGuirt and Marvelous Marvin Hagler.
Alton Norman
With more than 18 years experience as a Certified Person Trainer, Alton is not new to the fitness world. Alton served 4 years in the United States Navy as a Master of Arms. A graduate of Westchester College and a member of the Screen Actors Guild, Alton has trained stars such as Natalie Cole, Barbara Eden and Shanice Wilson to name a few. Alton believes that a strong core supports the total body. Alton’s training approach includes massage, nutritional guidance and circuit training to help build more muscle and make your heart a more efficient organ, while also lowering your blood pressure and LDL’s. Alton has been training for over 25 years and can help you achieve your best body in 8 weeks. Training with Alton is an investment in your mind, body and spirit.
Derek Norman
A native of Pasadena, clients call Derek the best motivator at Studio Physique. Derek was a blue chip All American at John Muir High School and a Scholar Athlete at San Diego State University. Derek had the opportunity to continue his football career as a walk on for the San Diego Chargers. His strong work ethic along with his passion for fitness has taken him to Studio Physique Athletic Club. Derek is a certified Personal Trainer through AMPT and ACE. Derek’s training philosophy comes from years of participating in athletics from a young age. High energy, motivation and the willingness to sweat are some of the things to look forward to when training with Derek.
Kimberly Spencer

Kimberly Spencer’s extensive knowledge of movement comes from her background as a former professional ballet dancer and having studied Pilates for almost 17 years and teaching Pilates for nearly 10 years. Clients who workout with Kimberly instantly feel the difference in training and the challenge to continually improve keeps them coming back for more. Utilizing her unique skills, experience, knowledge, and exceptional attention to postural alignment and fine detail, Kimberly specializes in training dancers, high performance athletes, pre and post natal women and injury rehab/prevention. In addition to Pilates instruction, Kimberly also coaches competitive gymnastics and has appeared in several fitness DVD’s including a post natal segment. She truly marvels in the abilities of the body and the mind and enjoys providing detailed movement analysis, fitness programs and training for any age or fitness ability.
Leon Tsoi

Leon Tsoi holds a personal training certification from the American College of Sports Medicine. His philosophy for a fit and healthy lifestyle is based on two key words; consistency and moderation. Leon also believes that a person must balance his or her lifestyle with proper exercise, nutrition, and knowledge. Leon is very passionate about fitness and health and credits his own personal health and physique to both his philosophy and his enthusiasm. He is a proud graduate of the University of California, Irvine and speaks both English and Cantonese. With his three years of experience in the fitness industry and one year of personal training, he likes to emphasize balance, core strength and power exercises for athletes and focus on circuit training for non-athletes. Leon has long-standing experience in sports training for basketball and volleyball, and in his personal time, enjoys hiking, indoor volleyball, and cross training.
Brandon Williams
Brandon began training at Studio Physique in 2005 while attending Azusa Pacific University where he graduated in 2006. Brandon is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and Private Trainers Association (PTA). Brandon is also certified as a nutritional consultant.
Brandon has spent the past four years dedicated to enriching the lives of his clients by helping them to achieve their goals. His experience and knowledge enables him to work with a variety of clientele. At Studio Physique, Brandon has worked with children, high school athletes, seniors and everyone in between. Brandon combines advanced scientific training principles with innovative functional training. This hybrid training gives his clients the opportunity to improve systematically in areas like balance, strength, and coordination while making the workouts exciting, challenging, and fun.
Sheldon Jay Williams

Sheldon Williams has been a fitness professional for over 20 years. During that time, he has helped hundreds of individuals achieve their personal fitness goals. He received his first National Certification in 1987 from the American Council on Exercise. Since then, he has attained other national and international certifications as well as professional associations which include, but are not exclusive to, the C.H.E.K. Institute, the National Academy of Sports Medicine, the International Weightlifting Association and Russian Kettlebell.
Through the years, he has developed an approach to training that encourages balance and stability as the foundation of proper functional strength. This philosophy is the key to unlocking your true fitness potential. Sheldon has been fortunate to learn from, and alongside, some of the top trainers, physical therapists and professional athletes in the industry.His clients represent every segment of the training population - from post heart surgery patients to female body sculpture to full ride collegiate athletes - all of whom credit Sheldon for their respective success. Whether your goals are weight loss, weight gain, injury prevention/rehabilitation, sports specific, lifestyle specific or even gender specific, he is excited and motivated to see you achieve them at Studio Physique Athletic Club.
